Course Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- Participants will enhance skills in formulation appropriate interventions from diverse theoretical perspectives, including contemporary Kleinian, British Middle School and French perspectives.
- Participants will learn to work with emphasis on the "here and now," monitoring countertranference and working on materials that is accessible to the patients.
- Participants will strengthen skills in listening with attention to the issue of timing and waiting for the psychoanalytic process to unfold.
The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity.
