The job of the Office of development is to assist in building a stronger organization in a number of different ways. Not the least of these is building a climate of giving that will allow us raise funds to support the mission of the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
We must work to build an exciting and dynamic professional home for our members and candidates. Special events like Evening of Art provide an opportunity for members to share their interest in art and socialize with friends. We envision more of these events centering on the many and varied interests of our community.
Providing a portal to our organization for the greater community we can begin the process of building relationships. Support of our outreach programs is one way we can engage residents of the Bay Area. Working with the local press, weighing in on the issues that affect everyday people, provides an opportunity for us to offer solutions from our unique analytic perspective and open dialogue.
Carrying on the work of the San Francisco Foundation for Psychoanalysis we must remain a catalyst to facilitate growth in the Center. Helping to find new and creative ways to attract candidates to our preeminent training program must be a priority. Raising funds to grow existing programs and to initiate new and dynamic ways to serve the public will keep SFCP at the forefront of psychoanalytic organizations.
