Palo Alto Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program
Do you want to deepend your psychotherapy work and learn more about intensive psychotherapy with a variety of patients?
Would you like a better understanding of psychoanalytic models of mind, and their application to clinical work?
This two-year program, which will begin its first class in the fall of 2007, is designed for trained clinicians who want to advance their skills in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
Students wil be immersed in an extensive curriculum including psychoanalytic models of mind, theories of clinical technique, and a vareity of case conferences.
The Program will involve both coursework and personal supervision with psychotherapy cases.

Location: Psychiatry Building, Stanford University Medical Center, 401 Quarry Road, Stanford, CA.
Dates: September 28, 2007 - May 31, 2009
Hours: Fridays 8:00am - 12:00pm (three classes of 70 minutes each)
Fee: $2,750/year, plus costs of two individual supervisions to be negotiated with individual supervisors. (Limited scholarship aid may be available.)
Application Process: The Program is open to licensed graduates of mental health programs in psychiatry, psychology, family therapy, social work, and other related disciplines.
A written form describing prior training and work history is required, along with letters of recommendation.
Applicants will be interviewd by two faculty members as part of the admissions process.

Faculty: Seminar leaders and supervisors have been drawn from memberships of local psychoanalytic institutes and from among outstanding local psychoanalytic psychotherapists.
The Program aims to bring together the best teaching talent available in the Peninsula/South Bay area.
