Greetings from the Membership Services Division Chair – Mary J. Ewert, D.M.H.
SFCP is committed to enhancing the professional lives of its members by providing a wide range of programs and services.
The Continuing Medical Education Committee provides Category I educational activities consistent with established accreditation standards which update mental health clinicians scientific knowledge, clinical skills, and practice efficiency in order to promote the practice of psychoanalysis.
These approved programs help members meet their licensure requirements for continuing education.
The monthly Scientific Meeting is open to SFCP members, candidates, and any interested members of the community at large who wish to engage in lively discussion and debate on current topics of importance in our field.
The Postgraduate Education committee develops programs specifically for graduate analysts to provide ongoing educational opportunities to enrich their clinical and intellectual endeavors.
Members are kept informed of current plans and future activities of the SFCP membership through the SFCP Newsletter. It is published monthly both online and in traditional paper format.
The Erik Erikson Library serves the members and candidates of the SFCP as well as other mental health professionals and the public at large interested in psychoanalysis.
The library houses the largest collection of psychoanalytic materials west of the Mississippi. It is professionally staffed and offers a number of very useful library services.
The Membership Division also has an Analyst Support Network that is concerned with providing support to members in the event of personal life stress.
