Two psychodynamic psychotherapy reading lists have been developed by Richard F. Summers, M.D. and Betsy Auchincloss, M.D. and are posted on APsaA’s website.

The lists were developed through APsaA’s Committee on University and Medical School Education and its subcommittee on residency training.
It is a current list compiled for use by any programs in need of academic support in the teaching of psychodynamic psychotherapy.
PSYCHOTHERAPY SUPERVISION: SELECTED BIBLIOGRAPHY
Many of us teach in settings that do not have a psychoanalytic orientation — or are even anti-psychoanalytic.
